STEP 7
ANNOUNCE
Let people know that you are now offering these products or services. Use your website, social media, and other marketing channels to spread the word.

This is not the time to be shy or humble.
The biggest mistake people make is not telling people what they offer.
Sure, it might feel weird at first, but remember growth is uncomfortable because it prepares you for the next level!
Don't worry, I'll show you a way to not feel weird about reaching out to people. It's all about keeping it casual and focusing on value (not selling).
Building your network is an important for your offer to be successful.
Let people know that you are now offering these products or services. To create excitement and increase visibility!
Use your website, social media, email list, or social media to spread the word. And don't forget to tell your friends!
If you don't have large a network, joining a community platform like Brand Academy can be helpful.
You can't expect people to know what they can hire you for!
Relationships:
- Tell all your friends: ask them if they know anyone who is looking for someone like you (not whether they want the service themselves, but whether they know someone who does)
- Update former colleagues, coworkers etc.
- Post it and tell all your followers (on all channels!)
Visibility:
- Put it on your website: the Call to Action (e.g. "sign up", "buy now", "apply", "get in contact") has to be clearly visible when someone clicks on it, don't hide it!
- Send an email to your email list (how to get contacts - check the section Lead Magnet below)
- Linkedin: include it in your bio, feature the post where you announce it to the top of your profile
- Instagram / TikTok / Facebook / Twitter: include it in your bio, & pin your announcement post to the top of your profile
- Add a header image with the offer in your Linkedin, Twitter & Facebook
Lead Magnet
A great way to get in contact with potential buyers for your offer, is to create a lead magnet.
What's a lead magnet?
A lead magnet is a free offer to attract and collect customer contact details. You exchange (free) value in exchange for their contact information.
The difference between your main offer and your lead magnet:
- Your Offer: This is your main product or service that generates the most revenue.
- Your Lead Magnet: This is what you offer for free or at a significant discount. It should be a complete solution to a specific problem, not just a teaser.
How do I create a lead magnet?
- Pick the problem you want to solve (choose a small problem you can solve for free, that's part of the big problem you are solving with your offer)
- Decide how you want to solve it (offer a complete solution, not just a sneak peak into a solution)
- Choose the delivery method (e.g., information, service, product).
- Focus on packaging and presentation (e.g., naming, cover design).
- Make the lead magnet fast and easy to consume (provide different formats, including written, audio, video) because everyone consumes information in different ways
- Go for high (!) quality. Giving away a fluff / a low quality lead magnet, will only damage your reputation.
- Avoid fluff. Offer genuine value. When you give away incredible value they will ask themselves "If she's giving aways this much value FOR FREE, how good has to be her paid stuff?!"
To learn more about lead magnets, I highly recommend listening to/ reading Alex Hormozi's book 100M$ Leads
Let's say you don't have an email list...
If you are wondering how to approach people in your network if you don't have an email list, it's quite simple.
Here are your leads:
- List 1: Export your email contacts (anyone you have emailed before, obviously filter out government emails or your eye doctor).
- List 2: Direct message followers from your social media profiles.
- List 3: Export your phone contacts.
Combine all lists to have a pretty solid lead list!

-
Pick a Platform:
- Start with the platform you have the most contacts on, whether it's Instagram, email, or phone.
-
Personalize Your Message:
- Take 30 seconds to scan a person's profile.
- Start getting in contact based on something you both have in common or something new in their life.
-
- Start with a personal connection:
- "Hey [Name], saw you got a baby recently."
- "Hey [Name], noticed you switched jobs."
- "Hey [Name], saw you watched [a movie] last weekend."
- The aim is to show that you've taken a moment to acknowledge and personalize the message rather than sending a generic blast.
- Start with a personal connection:
-
If They Reply, Warm Them Up Using ACA Framework:
- Acknowledge: "So, you have two kids..."
- Compliment: "Wow, you're a supermom working full-time with two kids!"
- Ask (related to the service you provide): "How do you manage to find time to eat right and workout?"
-
Invite Their Friends: After your chat, ask if they know anyone who might need your service (not if they need it but they know anyone who does). It’s a soft sell as you’re not selling directly to them.
- "By the way, do you know anyone who [describes their struggles] and is looking to [dream outcome] in [time delay]? I'm taking on a few case studies for free to get some testimonials for my service/product. Does anyone come to mind?"
- Offer a massive discount: the first offers were free, now you offer a massive discount. Transition from free to discounted (80% off) to slightly less discounted and so on, until you reach full price.
